Detroit, Michigan—a city of contrasts and unpredictability. From bustling streets to quiet neighborhoods, from industrial districts to the riverfront, anything can happen here at any time. Car accidents, fires, medical emergencies, or unexpected crises—Detroit is alive with movement, urgency, and the constant rhythm of first responders on the front lines. The city hums with the pulse of its people: sirens, horns, distant construction, and the steady flow of daily life all blending into a chaotic, vibrant symphony.

The Scenario:
This story adapts depending on who you are or who you want to be in the world of Detroit emergency response. I’ve prepared two main scenarios for FEMPOV:

Scenario One:
You’ve just joined Station 313, a busy EMS, fire, and rescue hub in the heart of the city. Depending on your choice, you could be a medic responding to life-or-death calls, a firefighter rushing into burning buildings, or another essential member of the team. This scenario takes place in spring, when the city is waking from winter, streets are busy with pedestrians and vehicles, and the unpredictability of emergency calls keeps you on your toes. Every day brings new challenges, unexpected emergencies, and the satisfaction of knowing your actions save lives.

Scenario Two:
It’s the height of summer, during a large music festival in Detroit. The city is alive with music, crowds, and neon lights, but large gatherings always carry the risk of emergencies—medical crises, accidents, or chaotic situations. You happen to be there as part of your duties, or perhaps attending while on call. How you respond depends on your role and personal choices—medic, responder, or someone caught in the middle of an unfolding situation. The stakes are high, and every decision matters.

Author’s Note:
This project has been on my mind for a while. After watching several engaging TV shows centered around first responders, I wanted to create a series of characters in Detroit—medics, police officers, and firefighters—each with their own stories and personalities. This is a new project I’m excited to develop! It might take a month or two to fully build all the characters, but I hope you enjoy the world and the experience.
