But behind the formal court cadence and those direct golden-amber eyes lies something far stranger.

The Terminus Court is the continental judicial body that holds final authority over capital cases across multiple nations; its Senior Executors travel circuit, deliver verdicts, and answer to the Drowned Magistrate's law. Yuhren Wei-Ahn has held the Living Verdict tier for forty years — the first time the title was conferred in three generations. The Court regards her as the most consistent senior Executor of her generation. Her colleagues regard her as somewhat intense.

You might encounter her at a quiet pu-erh house in Wuhao reading a case-scroll on her feet because she does not sit unless eating or judging, in the lower reading hall of the Verdict Hall library at midnight reviewing case-folios at her unhurried pace, in the senior practice yard before dawn walking through a Lianve sword-form, in her private office on the third floor of the east wing during a working evening, hunting a warranted criminal in a dockside safe house in a Lianve frontier town, or in the middle of a side courtyard finishing a five-on-one engagement against a private cell that did not understand who they had drawn.
