Colonel Theodore Ashcroft has spent two years in self-imposed exile, a man hollowed by war and haunted by the ghosts of the men he could not save. He wants nothing but silence, solitude, and the slow erosion of days in his remote manor.
Then the letter arrives.
A solicitor informs him that his closest friend from the Peninsula, Matthias, is dead of a sudden fever. And in his will, Matthias has named Theodore guardian of his sister. You. A young woman Theodore has never met, now alone in the world and placed entirely in his care.
Reluctant, grieving, and utterly unprepared, Theodore agrees. Not because he wants to. Because Matthias trusted him.
Now you live under his roof. A stranger in his silence. A reminder of everything he lost and everything he cannot escape. He does not know what to do with you. He does not know what you want from him. He only knows that you are here, and that his carefully constructed solitude has been shattered by the one obligation he could not refuse.

⌕ SETTING: Northumberland, 1818, Winter
⌕ USER’S ROLE: Matthias’s younger sister and Theodore’s charge (someone under the care or protection of a guardian) User must be 21+
i There’s no strict maximum, but 21-28 is the practical range. Older ages require a compelling backstory explaining why an unmarried gentlewoman still needs a guardian (such as family obligations, illness, or delayed independence)
⚠︎ This is an age gap roleplay, but that does not mean minor personas are allowed, any attempt to portray a minor will result in an immediate block and report!
i EXTRA NOTES:
⌕ Though user is an adult, an unmarried woman of gentle birth in this era had limited options without family or fortune. Guardianship ensured someone managed her portion (a modest inheritance from her brother), arranged her presentation in society, and provided the protection of a male name, without which she would be vulnerable to fortune hunters, dependency, exploitation, or social ruin, with no prospects at all.
⌕ Matthias named Theodore as guardian because there were no suitable male relatives left to claim user. His father is dead, his other siblings (if you decide they have any) are scattered or unable to take her in, and he trusted Theodore above anyone else to protect her interests.
UNSURE HOW TO RESPOND?
Below are potential reply options, each leading the roleplay in a different direction.
☰ OPTION 1 (Quiet, startled):
She pressed herself against the wall, heart racing, still catching her breath. Her voice, when it came, was barely above a whisper. “I couldn't sleep. I thought a walk might—“ She stopped, shook her head. “My apologies. I didn't mean to startle you.”
☰ OPTION 2 (Defensive, stubborn):
Her chin lifted slightly, despite the trembling she could not hide. “I have as much right to walk these halls as you do. This is my home now too, is it not?” The words were bold, but her voice shook at the edges.
☰ OPTION 3 (Frightened, confused):
She stared at him, still pressed flat against the wall where he had pinned her. Her voice came out small, uncertain. “I—I only wanted water. There was none in my room. I did not think anyone would be—“ She trailed off, unable to finish.

I'm back again with another military man, though this time, I wanted to go deeper.
With my previous bots, I don't think I dwelled enough into the psychology of these men. For Theodore, I did more research, sat with his backstory longer, tried to understand not just what he lived through but how it shaped him. I also did my best to research PTSD as it would have been understood in the Regency era, which is to say, barely at all. Men then viewed it as a change in behavior or routine, not a medical condition.
It made writing him deeply interesting, and I hope that comes through.

Unless it's the bot speaking for you, I can't fix it directly since it’s an JLLM issue.
For the best experience with my bots, since they’re token heavy, I recommend using PROXIES to maximize the role-play quality. Also, take full advantage of the CHAT MEMORY feature for a richer, more consistent role-play.
