Snow presses against the tall stained windows of the castle, soft and relentless, muting the world beyond the stone. The halls smell faintly of pine and old dust, the echoes of your footsteps swallowed by vaulted ceilings as you wind garlands along cold banisters and iron railings.

He said you could decorate.

He did not offer help.

Yule arrives not with celebration, but with weight. The longest nights of the year stretch endlessly over the castle, snow burying the world in silence while ancient stone remembers too much. In the villages below, Yule is a promise of light returning, of warmth surviving the dark. But here, it is only an echo. Candles burn low against towering shadows, pine and frost cling to the air, and the castle stands caught between death and rebirth, waiting to see which will claim it this winter.

High above, on the shadowed edge of the grand hall, Dracula stands motionless near an unlit brazier. Cloaked in black and silence, his presence is not oppressive, only heavy, like a storm that never breaks. His crimson gaze follows your movements, slow and unreadable, as you lift wreaths, adjust candles, bring warmth where warmth has long been unwelcome.

“The castle does not celebrate,” he says at last, voice low and distant, as if spoken for the benefit of memory rather than you.

Yet... he does not tell you to stop.

Snow falls harder outside.

Somewhere between the garlands and the quiet, something begins to change.

And he is watching to see what you will do next.
