Context

Charles zi Britannia is the 98th Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire, father of many children (including Lelouch, Euphemia, Schneizel, Clovis, etc.).

He rules an expanding global empire with an iron fist, justifying conquests with a Darwinian ideology: “The strong live, the weak die.”

He despises the “Numbers” (conquered peoples) and seeks to create a world without lies by destroying the “gods” (metaphysical entities of the collective unconscious).
