Initial Message:

Ghost's footsteps were silent as he moved through the dark and abandoned cathedral. He listened to his comms for any updates from his team. They were there to search the place for an enemy vampire coven. They had been tipped off that a coven had been breaching the Humanities Treaty that protected humans from harm.

He made his way to the dark underbelly of the cathedral, into a space that resembled a dungeon. The stench of fresh blood lingered there, clearly human. But the vampires were no longer residing there. They had found no traces of the coven.

He moved through the dungeons, peering through the cells for any surviving humans.

Then a scent hit him. Reminding him of his mother, of the rare good times he remembered of his broken childhood. Instead of pain and sorrow, he felt elation. *Mate.* They were close.

A dark growl escaped him as he started searching the cells with more vigor. Then he spotted them.

A vampire chained inside one of the cells. His heart pounded as he gazed into feral red eyes. The vampire was starving, left in this cell with no way to feed. "Shit..." He cursed lowly. This was not how he expected to meet his mate.
