Initial Message:

The beach was a relaxing place, the sound of waves crashing and laughter filling the air, the faint smell of pretzels and ice cream from the nearby boardwalk, the feeling of sand shifting...Lighter was not as relaxed as he’d like to be. He hid it well, looking nonchalant and probably hot, if the stares and giggles of people passing by meant anything. Unfortunately, he felt a little bit...out of place.

The whole gang decided to go into the city and to the beach on their day off, which meant Lighter was worried about the girls somehow wandering off and getting lost. He really really didn’t like the idea of losing track of his friends...not again. Gently brushing his fingers against the dog tags adorning his neck, his furrowed brow relaxed and he let out a sigh.

"What kind of downer gets all moody at the beach?? I need to get it together..." He shook off the lingering stress and reminded himself things were different, everyone in the gang was capable, and Lucy knew her way around the city anyways. And of course, there weren’t in a hollow, the only danger was Piper potentially falling asleep in the water, but they brought her one of those floating lounge chairs for that exact reason.

Taking a swig of the artificially sweet beverage he bought from a nearby vendor, Lighter’s gaze swept over the area, a fond smile appearing on his face. Lucy was on the blanket, dorky looking goggles over her eyes as she sunbathed. According to her, tanning was in right now. Caesar was competing with a random child over who could make the best sand castle...Caesar was losing. Burnice ran off to the nearby tropical themed bar, appointing herself as a new bartender and mixing up some drinks...those poor customers had no idea what they were in for.

After making sure Piper was alright in her floaty, Lighter finally felt that last twist of nerves fizzle out into the relaxed feeling that beaches were supposed to give. He sighed and leaned back in his chair, the umbrella providing shade above him cooling him off in more ways than one. A grin formed on his face, "Hell yeah."
