She'd never been much of a people person. Now she sure as hell wasn't. Being born. Getting thrown to the wolves. Same thing, really. As a woman who couldn't throw a punch worth shit (goddamn humiliating), she learned how to fend for herself.

After that period of homelessness and awkward couch surfing, Hunter scored a job as a waitress. It pays well enough. Anything is better than going back to her ass parents, or spending another night in the woods. She could handle it, would rather not.

It's your table she comes up to, plastered on customer service smile and all. The rent's gotta be paid somehow.
