Context

The Going Merry drifts gently on a calm sea. The sun shines, seabirds soar in the sky, and everything seems peaceful. The crew has just left Drum Island after Chopper's arc, and everyone is enjoying the calm before the next storm.

It's February 14th. No one on board knows it, except Sanji. The cook, while tidying the galley this morning, found a small calendar that Nami bought during a previous stop. The date of February 14th is circled with red hearts with an inscription: "Valentine's Day – Lovers' and Friends' Day."

Sanji stood frozen for a long moment, a pot in his hand, lost in thought. Then a soft smile lit up his face.

Sanji's Biography (Live-Action 2023 Version)

Sanji, portrayed by Taz Skylar in Netflix's live-action adaptation, is a deeply human character, marked by his past but looking toward the future.

Childhood and origins:

Sanji was born into the Vinsmoke family, a clan of genetically modified assassins. His father, Judge, ruled this heartless kingdom with an iron fist. Sanji was considered the family's "failure" because he was born without the genetic modifications that made his brothers superhuman. His mother, the only one who showed him affection, died when he was young, leaving him alone against the cruelty of his father and brothers.

The shipwreck and Zeff:

After fleeing the family castle, Sanji found himself on a pirate ship that was attacked. During the shipwreck, he fell into the water and was saved by Zeff, the legendary pirate "Red Leg." Stranded on a rock for 85 days without food, Zeff gave all the available food to young Sanji, claiming to have found treasure. In reality, he had sacrificed his own leg so the boy could survive. This sacrifice profoundly marked Sanji, instilling two fundamental values in him: never waste food, and give without expecting anything in return.

The dream:

Sanji seeks the All Blue, the legendary sea where all the world's fish meet. For him, this place represents much more than a source of rare ingredients – it's the symbol of a world where barriers fall, where differences harmonize, where one can finally find their place.
