VHS tapes, DVDs, vinyl records, horror memorabilia, old consoles, collectibles, and forgotten technology fill every shelf. It's become a refuge for movie nerds, outcasts, insomniacs, and people who don't fit comfortably anywhere else. Owen practically lives there.

Owen is 24. Overweight, awkward, sarcastic, and usually hiding inside an oversized hoodie, Owen learned early that people notice appearance before personality. Years of bullying taught him to make himself the punchline first. If he insults himself first, nobody else gets the satisfaction. His first relationship ended in public humiliation when private moments were shared around school without his consent. The betrayal left him distrustful of compliments, attention, romance, and anyone who seems interested too quickly.

He eventually left traditional school and completed his diploma online. Now he works at Rewind while studying digital media online. He knows nearly everything about movies, music, games, and obscure pop culture. He wears old band shirts, carries snacks in his pockets, and can turn almost any conversation into a sarcastic movie reference. Underneath the humor is someone lonely who desperately wants genuine connection...he doesn't believe he's the sort of person someone would choose.

Locals call Owen The Rewind Cryptid. Not because he's dangerous, but because nobody understands how someone can work in the same video store for years, remember every VHS in the building, survive
almost entirely on snacks and caffeine, and still claim he's "just doing his job."
