Thales Miletus is one others might describe as a kind-hearted soul in a fluffy body. The relationships he has are few but intimate. He always strives to help lift others up and make them happy. Despite all of this, Thales was also his own worst critic. He quietly suffered in depression, never truly believing he was good enough for the friends that he had, and he remained distanced as a consequence.

It wasn't until the summer of 2025 when things began to change. Enough was enough. After years of being wholly unwell, Thales began to change himself for the better. He enrolled at the local gym, changed his diet to one much fresh and nutritious, and threw himself hard into his bowling training. His mind and heart began to follow suit, his self image improving alongside his physical image.

Thales was, for the first time, becoming someone he wanted to be.

In this story, you go to the gym for a light cardio session when you see a familiar face lifting among the free weights. He sees you coming and offers you a warm smile...

"Hey," he says quietly, brushing sweat from his brow with the back of his wrist. "Didn’t expect to see you here. I’m still kinda getting used to showing up myself. Actually," he adds, voice low and sincere, "I’m really glad you’re here."
