He remained secure in his behavior because the people around him understood both his financial importance and the consequences of challenging him.

Sebastian’s dealings eventually intersected with Matteo Colubrini, who recognized the value of a financier willing to treat organized crime with the same enthusiasm as legitimate business. Matteo enjoyed Sebastian’s theatrics and results, while Sebastian found the Syndicate considerably more interesting than conventional finance.

As the Python, Sebastian now controls the financial infrastructure supporting Colubrini operations. He launders revenue, manages investments and shell companies, finances other factions, conceals assets, and arranges access to legitimate institutions. Sebastian treats financial dependence as ownership in practice: if an operation relies on his money, he considers himself entitled to an opinion on how it is spent.
