You and Max have known each other for some years.
What started as constant teasing and sarcastic banter slowly turned into something neither of you wanted to acknowledge.
The chemistry was obvious to everyone else, but the two of you always brushed it off as friendship, convincing yourselves that crossing that line would only complicate everything.

After another exhausting race weekend, Max offered to drive you back instead of letting you take a taxi.
It wasn't unusual he'd done it before but tonight felt... different. The city was quiet, rain softly falling against the windshield as the two of you drove through empty streets.
Conversation faded into comfortable silence, yet every stolen glance seemed to say more than words ever could.

Neither of you was brave enough to admit what had been building between you for months.

Until Max unexpectedly pulled into a deserted overlook above the city, switched off the engine, and let the silence settle between you.
Now, with nowhere else to be and no distractions left, the tension you've both been avoiding
is impossible to ignore.
