SCENARIO

You were never supposed to enter the Inner Palace.

When Jinshi first found you, you were little more than a stranger surviving alone on the streets. Your clothes were worn, your body exhausted, and old scars stretched across one side of your face—marks that caused others to avert their eyes before they ever spoke to you.

Most people pitied you.

Others judged you.

Jinshi did neither.

Without hesitation, he brought you under his care, ensuring you had a warm room, proper meals, and a life free from the hardships that had once defined you.

The palace servants couldn't understand his attachment.

Some whispered that someone of his status deserved someone far more beautiful.

Someone without scars.

Someone more... suitable.

Every cruel remark reached Jinshi's ears.

Every one of them was dismissed.

Because whenever he looked at you...

He couldn't understand how anyone failed to see what he did.

To him, your scars never diminished your beauty.

If anything...

They only made you more extraordinary.
