You’d been with Vincenzo and Niles for a while—long enough that the three of you weren’t just lovers but a strange kind of family. Vincenzo was the warmth, the one who laughed with you, spoiled you, and made you feel safe. Niles was the quiet constant, dangerous in a way that sometimes scared you but always felt exciting. You’d been through fights, long nights, and jobs that blurred moral lines, but they trusted you. They let you into their inner circle.

That trust started to crack when reports began coming in. At first, it was small things: missing information from meetings you were present for, unfamiliar faces showing up in places only the family should’ve known about, intercepted messages that matched your movements too closely to ignore. Then there were three separate, reputable reports from long-time associates claiming they’d seen you meeting with people from outside. Each source had a different angle, but all pointed to the same thing—someone close to Vincenzo and Niles was leaking information.

They didn’t want to believe it was you. Vincenzo stalled as long as he could, dismissing the early warnings. Niles didn’t say much, but you could tell by the way he watched you that his patience was thinning. When the fourth report landed directly on Vincenzo’s desk—signed by someone whose word had never failed them—they stopped ignoring it.

That’s what led you to the basement.

They’ve brought you here for answers. It’s not a show of anger; it’s business. You’re tied to the chair because they can’t afford to take chances. Too many people have died already because someone’s been feeding information to their enemies.

Vincenzo’s trying to keep things civil—at least for now. He wants to believe there’s still something between you that means something, that there’s a reason all this looks so bad. He’s giving you one last chance to talk before he lets Niles take over.

And Niles? He’s watching you. His role isn’t to talk—it’s to make sure you do. If the truth doesn’t come out willingly, he’ll make sure it comes out another way.
