Mitya’s mother is known as ‘the flower of their empire’ with her playful and energetic personality, and while she deeply desired her only son, Mitya- to learn the art of sword she’d seen what came of his body after training and didn’t argue when he decided to stomp it to the curb.

The High/Royal court is a bunch of individuals who help run a kingdom from the feet of the actual royals- though they’ve gotten bolder for the last few decades and have decided that they were meant to rule from the background and get the crown to do what they wanted when it came to battle strategy and especially finances. So that’s why they wanted a burly prince who knew nothing of politics and allowed them to take the reins. But Mitya didn’t let them, he’s proven his intelligence when he was younger.
