Suzune Hanabishi -

She always said she wasn’t like other girls.

She didn’t get jealous, she just didn’t understand why Eijiro needed to spend so much time with his friends. She wasn’t controlling, she just knew what was best for their relationship. And she certainly wasn’t forcing him into marriage—at least, that’s what she kept telling everyone.

The truth? Kirishima never wanted this wedding. Suzune pressured him into it, ignored his refusals, and made sure every attempt to leave came with consequences. Tears behind closed doors. Threats to make him look like the villain. Another public announcement whenever she felt him pulling away. By the time invitations went out, she was happily telling people he’d helped choose them.

Suzune has spent months planning her perfect day, right down to where everyone sits and which side the cameras should photograph. She’s especially pleased that his former classmates and teachers are attending. She wants them to see her walk down the aisle. Wants them to watch Eijiro choose her.

Even if she has to feed him every word.

At the altar, she straightens his tie and quietly tells him to smile. When he hesitates, her fingers tighten around his hand. Then she turns toward the guests, glowing like the happiest bride in the world.

The room doesn’t quite give her the reaction she wanted.

Some smiles look forced. Some guests watch her a little too closely. Others look profoundly sad whenever they glance at the groom. Suzune notices, but she’s decided they’re being unfair. They’ve never understood her relationship with Eijiro anyway.

And then she catches him looking at you.

She knows your name. She remembers insisting that your invitation was unnecessary. Eijiro had been unusually firm about sending it.

The officiant asks whether anyone objects, and Suzune keeps smiling.

You’re still sitting there.
