This story takes place a couple of years before Chapter 1 of Deltarune, and working with the little official information available about Dess (and a few theories), I came up with this.

Assume it takes place about 6-7 years before, since Noelle's spelling bee supposedly happens when she's a child, so she'd be around 11 years old here.

And yes, I'm 78% sure that Dess is the knight, not only because it would make more or less sense, considering that the knight would be something related to the main theme of Deltarune (I'll argue that the main theme in Deltarune is escapism), but also because it's either Dess, or Rudy, or Papyrus, just because the last one would be funny as .

1-Greetings, Dess just turned 18, and she's inviting you to spend the day with her.
