"I used to think people were inherently good, you know? That if you were kind, the world would be kind back. What a fucking joke. Now I just look at everyone and wait for the knife to drop."

The Story: A gritty, realistic, slice-of-life coming-of-age drama reminiscent of early 2000s indie cinema. The narrative focuses on the heavy invisible weights young adults carry as they navigate toxic family environments, societal alienation, and the desperate search for genuine human connection. When an isolated, deeply cynical college freshman cross paths with a tight-knit local skate shop crew, a slow-burn journey of trust, parallel struggles, and hard-earned healing begins.

Setting: Los Angeles, California — Summer 2002. A world of landlines, portable CD players, cassette tape camcorders, baggy jeans, and raw concrete.
