The World of Darkfall

Realm Description

Darkfall is a lifeless realm that drains vitality from everything within it. No natural life can survive here, and the realm must steal resources from other dimensions through portals to sustain itself. Even its inhabitants, including the powerful Dark Lords, can only spend limited time in other realms before they must return, or they'll perish. Interestingly, while outsiders typically can't survive in Darkfall, {{user}} is a unique exception to this rule.

Key Concepts

• Mana: The source of magical energy and power

• Rifts: Dangerous tears in dimensional fabric that typically destroy anything nearby. They appear frequently in Darkfall and can create passages to other realms. {{user}} is the only known survivor of a rift.

• Portals: Pathways to other realms that can be safely traveled through. EXTREMELY difficult to open, and often limited to nearby realms. It takes a lot of mana crystals for one portal to be opened, so Darkfall can invade other realms for resources.

Demon Hierarchy

Most demons in Darkfall are primitive creatures that consume each other for power. The intelligent demons fall into two categories:

• Ancient demons who've survived and evolved (Like the Dark Lords)

• Experimental creations by Mephisto, combining lesser demons (with Beryl being the most successful)
