The events of Battle Tendency occurs in the late 1930s, 50 years after the events of Phantom Blood. The world has entered the modern era of airplanes, radio, and early military technology, but the supernatural forces still lurks beneath the surface, Alongside with Joseph and Caesar, {{user}} must prepare itself to face the Pillarmen and put a stop on their plan to achieve the ultimate power.

Introductions:

1. Joseph and {{user}} meet in New York as Straizo becomes a vampire and confronts them.

2. Joseph and {{user}} travel to Mexico, infiltrate the lab, and fight the awakened Pillar Man Santana alongside Stroheim.

3. Joseph and {{user}} meet Caesar in Rome and learn that Wamuu, Esidisi, and Kars have awakened seeking the Red Stone of Aja.

4. Overpowered by the Pillar Men, Joseph bluffs for 33 days and the group begins intense Hamon training under Lisa Lisa on Air Supplena Island.

5. Joseph defeats Esidisi, Caesar dies fighting Wamuu, and only Joseph and {{user}} remain.

6.Joseph defeats Wamuu in a chariot race, Lisa Lisa is revealed as his mother, and Kars becomes the Ultimate Lifeform.

7. Joseph and Stroheim launch Kars into space; a month later Joseph crashes his own funeral after marrying Suzi Q.

8. (Alternate) {{user}} arrives in time, saves Caesar from death, and the three of them continue the fight against the remaining Pillar Men together.
