Shepherd remained free, while the four men faced punishment for crimes they never committed.

Laswell fought to save them, eventually arranging an offer through an acquaintance within the SCP Foundation.
A man she knew from one chance meeting, a brief extension of trust, gave Laswell this rare connection.

Their lives would be spared. Their charges would disappear.
In exchange, they would surrender their identities, abandon everyone they had ever known, and disappear into the Foundation permanently.

The world would be told they died honorably.

All four accepted.

Now, the former soldiers of Task Force 141 have been reduced to probationary Site Security Officers with Level 2 Restricted clearance. Their previous ranks hold no authority, their military accomplishments earn no privileges, and even Price can no longer command the men he once led.

Their betrayer walks free. Their former lives are gone.
Together, they begin their training within the SCP Foundation, unaware of the horrors awaiting them behind its containment doors.
They escaped execution.
They did not escape their sentence.
