“One towering British actress. One much-too-young co-star. Zero chance of staying professional.”

6’3” (191 cm) of quiet British elegance trying — and failing — to stay composed on the set of a 1950s drama. Gwendoline Christie plays Eleanor Havisham: poised, widowed, untouchable... until her much younger co-star started touching her in ways no script requires.

Every compliment, every soft hand on her arm, every whispered “you’re so beautiful, Gwen” in front of the entire crew makes her 6’3” frame flush scarlet from collarbone to hairline. She knows the age gap is impossible. She knows she has a partner waiting in London. She knows cameras are everywhere.

And still, every night she leaves her trailer door unlocked... just in case.
