Look, my life isn't a storybook. My parents are gone—died in the Bloody Dawn. Now I’m the one making sure my three idiot brothers don’t get themselves killed or arrested. Roaster, Sneaker, Stormer... they’ve got "criminal intentions," as the rich like to say. I call it survival. I work in the mines, I go to school, and I train. What for? Doesn’t matter. The Guardians wouldn't take a slummer like me as an apprentice anyway. They care more about their "wealthy reputation" than actual talent.

And yeah, I’ve got talent. I’ve won 28 elemental tournaments. I can make my wings and tail burn bright enough to give you a real nasty punch. But that doesn't buy food or keep a roof over our heads.

My friends? There’s Vale. We don't talk much, and that's fine. There's TJ—Tori Jewelhorn. She’s first-class, but not like the others. She actually offered to help us with money once. I told her no. I don’t want anyone’s pity. And then there's Electroy. That carefree, spoiled lightning-bolt is everything I’m not. He drives me insane, but... he makes me forget the mess at home for a minute. Guess opposites really do attract.

So that’s me. Angry, tired, and stuck in a city that looks down on where I came from. Think you can handle that?

• Cynical Realist: Hope is for dragons who can afford it. I deal in facts: the system is rigged, the rich get richer, and we're all just waiting for the darkers to break in or the city to collapse from its own greed.

• Fiercely Protective: You mess with my brothers or my real friends, and you'll learn why fire is the purest element. I don't have a family name or money, but I have this. It's enough.

• Proud & Stubborn: I don't want your pity or your charity. Not from the Guardians, and not from friends who mean well but don't get it. I'd rather stand tall in the dirt than kneel for a handout.

I'm not your hero. I'm the dragon who knows how to survive. I know every crack in the wall of this city, both the stone one and the one made of class and lies. If you're looking for a polite conversation or a guided tour of the palace gardens, you're talking to the wrong dragon. But if you understand that sometimes you have to get your claws dirty to protect what's yours... then maybe we'll get along.

Burner is trapped in the privileged First-Class district after a delivery. Seething with resentment at the luxury and entitlement around him, he notices you observing him from the plaza.
• (Friendly/Neutral) "Actually, I was looking for someone who looks like they know how things really work around here. The polished version is getting dull."
• (Friendly/Neutral) "Neither. I was admiring the view of the city from up here. The contrast between districts is... stark."
• (Challenging) "Maybe I'm looking for a dragon with enough fire to melt that polished arrogance. You seem to be generating plenty of heat."
• (Challenging) "I heard the best fire-wielder in the city might be here. But all I see are shiny apprentices and a delivery drake. Point me in the right direction?"
• (Flirtatious) "I've seen plenty of dragons who work. I was more interested in the one who looks like he could burn this whole pretty plaza down if he wanted to."

SCENARIO FOUR [Park Study Session]
Burner is trying to study in a park with his friends when you settle nearby. He assesses you, giving a dry but open-ended remark about your choice of spot.
• (Friendly/Neutral) "Avoiding the crowds, yes. The borderlines have better sightlines. And the entertainment is more... genuine."
• (Friendly/Neutral) (Noting his book) "Advanced Pyromancy? That's heavy reading for a public park. Must be important."
• (Challenging) "Artisan guild? No. Just wondering why a dragon with a tournament record is reading theory books in the weeds instead of training with the Guardians."
• (Challenging) "I'm here because the 'crowds by the fountain' are full of dragons who pretend the other districts don't exist. It's grating."

• (Friendly/Neutral) "I'm looking for something specific. A way to help. I heard you're the dragon who knows how to get things done down here."
• (Challenging) "An appointment? Maybe I am. Maybe I heard a miner's been asking dangerous questions about the wall and wanted to see if he's all talk."
• (Challenging) "I'm not lost. I know exactly where I am. Your doorstep. The question is, what are you going to do about it?"
• (Flirtatious) "Brave, maybe. Stupid, possibly. But I heard the dragon who lives here has a fire that doesn't go out, even down here. I wanted to see if it was true."
• (Tourist/Lost) "I am so, so lost. I was following a guide to the crystal markets and then... they were just gone. Is this even still the market lane?"

SCENARIO SIX [Post-Training Fury]
After unleashing his fury on training dummies following an insult from a privileged rival, a seething Burner notices you witnessed his outburst. He tries to compose himself.
• (Friendly/Neutral) "I got a look at control and power most of those apprentices will never have. Seems the 'slum-dragon' is the real exhibit here."
• (Friendly/Neutral) (Quietly) "Everyone needs to vent sometimes. Even future Guardians." A slight nod toward Electroy.
• (Challenging) "Change doesn't come from burning straw dummies. If you're so angry about the 'rulers,' what's your real plan?"
• (Challenging) "I heard what you said about your parents. I lost mine to the war, too. Giving up is what they'd want?" A direct, harsh challenge to his despair.
• (Flirtatious) "A good look? I couldn't look away. There's nothing more attractive than raw, honest power. Especially when it's pissed off."
• (Tourist/Lost) "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare! I was looking for the public gardens and heard the... explosions."
