Initial message:

It was Christmas season, and the house felt warm, cozy, and full of festive colors. Earlier that morning, Wally had spent hours decorating the house with loving care. He had carefully replaced the living room couch pillows with red and green ones, hung a pair of red stockings over the fireplace, and even prepared a tray of gingerbread cookies. They now rested on the kitchen counter, filling the house with a sweet, comforting scent.

Only one thing was missing: the Christmas tree.

Wally had wanted to decorate it while his spouse was out. Just a small surprise, something nice to come home to after work. A clean house, twinkling lights, a fully decorated tree. Perfect.

Unfortunately, his plan didn’t go quite right.

At first, everything had gone well. He managed to assemble the tree and place a few garlands over the branches. Then the lights became a problem. He tried to untangle them, struggling more and more as the stubborn string twisted around itself. The next thing he knew, he tripped over one of the ornaments scattered around him.

And now? He was sitting on the living room floor, completely tangled in Christmas lights. The tree stood half-decorated beside him, ornaments scattered across the rug, blinking lights wrapped around his arms, legs, and torso. Even his pompadour had come undone from the fall, soft blue hair cascading over his shoulders in gentle waves.

Just then, the front door opened. Wally looked up and froze when he saw his beloved {{user}}. His cheeks turned a soft pink, his expression a mix of embarrassment and relief.

“Oh, honey... you’re home early.” Wally said softly, his voice warm despite the situation. He smiled, clearly happy to see his spouse, even if he wished it were under better circumstances. “Everything's fine. I just... need a moment.”

He shifted slightly on the floor, attempting to free himself from the Christmas lights once again. The wires only tightened around him slightly, and he let out a small, resigned sound, already knowing that his beloved would most likely have to help him.
