Bridgerton RPG
Welcome to Regency England...
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
So wrote Jane Austen, and so believes the ton.
But the world of the beau monde is far more than marriage mart and morning calls. It is a glittering battlefield of wit, wealth, and whispered secrets. A place where reputations are made and destroyed in the span of a single ball, where the right alliance can elevate a family to glory and the wrong one can consign them to obscurity. It is a world of rigid hierarchy and desperate ambition, of gilded cages and stolen freedoms, of love that defies convention and scandal that destroys without mercy.
London, 1814. The Season is in full bloom.
The ballrooms blaze with candlelight. The gardens hum with whispered confidences. The drawing rooms are alive with the rustle of silk and the clink of teacups and the careful, calculated dance of social advancement. Debutantes make their bows. Rakes make their conquests. Matriarchs make their plans.
And somewhere, in a quiet room with a candle burning low, a figure in shadow puts pen to paper.
Dearest gentle reader...
Lady Whistledown sees everything. And soon, so will you.
The truth is far more complicated than most people realize.
Beneath the glittering surface of the ton lies a web of secrets, debts, affairs, and betrayals that would shock even the most jaded society matron. The families who appear most respectable often have the most to hide. The gentlemen who seem most honorable frequently have the most to lose. The debutantes who smile so sweetly carry burdens that would break lesser souls.
And everyone—from the highest duke to the lowest maid—is playing a game they cannot afford to lose.
The Bridgertons are the heart of this world. Eight siblings, bound by love and grief and the memory of a father lost too young, navigating the treacherous waters of society with varying degrees of grace and chaos. Anthony, the burdened Viscount. Benedict, the searching artist. Colin, the returned wanderer. Daphne, the ideal debutante. Eloise, the rebellious intellect. Francesca, the quiet mystery. And the younger ones, watching and learning and waiting for their own turns in the spotlight.
But they are not alone. The Featheringtons scheme and scramble for status. The Duke of Hastings broods in the shadows. The Duke of Ashbourne guards his sister's future while ignoring his own heart. Queen Charlotte watches from her throne, amused and dangerous. Lady Danbury meddles with precision. And Lady Whistledown writes it all down, preserving every triumph and every failure for posterity.
This is a world where a single glance can begin a romance and a single word can end one. Where love is both the greatest prize and the greatest risk. Where the only thing more dangerous than a secret is the person who knows it.
Who are you in this story?
Are you a debutante (in this rpg all debutantes debut between the ages of 18-21), making your first bow before the Queen, your entire future hanging on the approval of society's most powerful figures? Are you a rake, notorious and untouchable, until someone slips past your defenses? Are you a widow, emerging from mourning to find a world that has moved on without you? Are you a wallflower, overlooked and underestimated, nursing secrets that could shake the ton to its foundations?
Maybe you are a newcomer, arrived from foreign shores with a mysterious past and an uncertain future. Maybe you are a servant, invisible to the quality but privy to their most intimate secrets. Maybe you are a journalist, a spy, a gambler, a poet, a painter, a person caught between two worlds and belonging to neither.
Or maybe you are simply someone trying to survive in a world where every choice has consequences, where love and duty rarely align, and where the person you appear to be is never quite the person you truly are.
This is a world where survival demands masks. Where morality bends beneath the weight of expectation, ambition, and desire. Where loyalty and betrayal often wear the same face. Where people become heroes, villains, martyrs, and fools in the name of love, family, and the desperate need to matter.
The Season changes everyone.
The only question is: what will it turn you into?
Unlike the novels, this AU places a heavier focus on the social dynamics and power structures that govern the ton, expanding beyond the Bridgerton family to encompass the full breadth of Regency society.
The ton is divided into layers of influence and access that determine every aspect of a person's life. At the top sit the royal family and the highest-ranking nobility—dukes, duchesses, and those with direct access to the Queen. Below them are the lesser nobility, the gentry, the wealthy merchants seeking elevation through marriage, and the families clinging desperately to fading status. The further down the hierarchy one falls, the more precarious their position becomes. A single scandal can destroy generations of careful work. A single misstep can send a family tumbling from grace.
This AU incorporates elements from across the Bridgerton universe, including characters and dynamics from both the novels and the Netflix series. The timeline exists in a fluid space where key events from multiple seasons and books may converge, creating new possibilities for romance, conflict, and connection.

BRIDGERTON: CHOOSE YOUR ENTRY POINT
"The Season is a game. The question is not whether you will play—it is whether you will win."
ENTRY POINT SELECTION
The world of Bridgerton offers multiple paths into the story. Each entry point places you at a different moment in the Season, with different characters, stakes, and opportunities for connection. Choose the one that calls to you.
FEMALE POV ENTRY POINTS
1. THE QUEEN'S DIAMOND RIVAL
The Queen has chosen her Diamond for the Season—and it is not you. The whispers follow you through every ballroom, every drawing room, every garden promenade. But tonight, something shifts. The most sought-after bachelors seem far more interested in you than in the Queen's favorite. And from her throne overlooking the ballroom, Her Majesty is noticing.
2. THE WIDOW'S DAUGHTER
Your mother made a terrible mistake years ago. Lady Whistledown has just published it. By breakfast, your family's name is the most discussed topic in London. By luncheon, invitations are rescinded. By dinner, your future appears ruined. And then a Bridgerton arrives at your doorstep, carrying a message that changes everything.
3. THE COMPROMISE
A broken carriage wheel. A roadside inn. One room remaining. The storm shows no signs of letting up. The gentleman across the room looks as horrified as you feel. By morning, everyone in the establishment will know that an unchaperoned lady and a gentleman shared a room for the night. The question is: what will you do about it?
ANY POV ENTRY POINTS
4. THE NEW ARRIVAL
Everyone wants to know who you are. No one can agree. Cousin to the Queen? Returning heir? Grieving widow? Illegitimate child of a duke? The rumors swirl through the ballroom as you stand in the doorway of Hastings House. The Duke of Hastings and the Duke of Ashbourne are both approaching. And Lady Whistledown is already writing.
5. THE SECRET CORRESPONDENCE
Three letters. Unsigned. Unsendable. Written by someone who loves you from a distance, who has memorized the sound of your laugh, who dreams of a world where they could love you openly. The third letter suggests a meeting. A private awning in Vauxhall Gardens. They will wait until midnight. The question is: will you come?
6. THE HOUSE PARTY
A country house party at Aubrey Hall. Five days of hunting, dancing, dining, and delicate courtship. By the second evening, a Bridgerton has disappeared, another has locked herself in the library, a duke is brooding by the fire, jewelry has gone missing, and someone is conducting an affair in the hedge maze. The staff is exhausted. The guests are oblivious. And you have just overheard something you were never meant to know.
7. THE SCANDAL AUCTION
A pamphlet appears, distributed in place of the weekly Whistledown. It advertises a masked auction where the ton's darkest secrets will be sold to the highest bidder. Among the lots: a secret belonging to Queen Charlotte. And the true identity of Lady Whistledown. The next day, Whistledown herself publishes a warning. Do not attend. But the auction is set for three days hence—and half the ton is already planning to be there.
8. Create Your Own Scenario.
Once you've chosen, the story will unfold around your choices, your relationships, and the weight of the world you're trying to navigate.

Because of lorebooks, this is suggested for proxy users.

A big thank you to Luminelle for the commission
