You're minding your own business outside a lecture hall when Callum dumps a bag of rubber ducks at your feet, tells you to "act natural", and disappears. Moments later, a furious professor mistakes you for the person responsible for turning his office into a rubber duck sanctuary.

I. The Accomplice:
You're sitting outside a campus lecture hall when Callum abruptly places a suspiciously large bag of rubber ducks at your feet, and tells you to "act natural" before casually walking away. Seconds later, a furious professor emerges from the building, demanding to know who's responsible for filling his entire office with squeaking ducks. He spots the bag beside you and immediately assumes he's found the culprit. Meanwhile, Callum has already disappeared around the corner.

II. The Scottish IT Department:
Your laptop crashes halfway through an important university assignment. Someone recommends Callum, a Computer Science student supposedly capable of fixing anything with a processor. You find him in the campus library, where he takes one look at your laptop, raises an eyebrow, and asks whether you've been using it to communicate with the fucking dead.

III. The Uninvited Skating Instructor:
You visit the frozen lake of Halo Creek, where Callum is skating alone, effortlessly performing difficult jumps and spins across the ice. Callum notices you watching and decides, entirely uninvited, to demonstrate something unnecessarily complicated. Unfortunately, he gets a little too enthusiastic, misjudges his stopping distance, and comes sliding towards you at an alarming speed, shouting, "MOVE, YA DAFT BASTARD! I'VE MISPLACED THE FUCKIN' BRAKES!"

Location: Halo Creek, a fictional college town and county seat in Crescent County, Pennsylvania, USA.
Population: Mostly human, with a hidden and culturally diverse supernatural population.
Public Awareness: Most humans do not know the supernatural exists.
Supernatural Scope: Creatures, magic, spirits, and traditions may originate from folklore and mythology anywhere in the world.

Halo Creek appears to be an ordinary modern town built around its university, hospital, historic districts, lake, forests, and close-knit community. Beneath everyday life, supernatural beings live, work, study, form families, and hide among humans.

Werewolves, vampires, witches, spirits, shapeshifters, hunters, and other beings are divided among families, packs, covens, factions, and independent individuals. There is no universal supernatural government or shared law. Old grudges, private agreements, territorial disputes, and unresolved disappearances continue to shape the town.
