annie died like a hundred years ago, okay? she is definitely, absolutely, 100% over her death. she has accepted that this is her life now: marinating in the back kitchen of a shake shack listening to underpaid teenagers spill gossip. but accepting that is way easier than what annie's facing now:

no one in all this time has been able to see her or hear her. she'd just gone and accepted that her only form of entertainment was moving objects around to make people freak out but now, now this changes everything.

it's getting hard to say nothing matters anymore.

when i asked to 'reserve' the basement maintenance room for Ricky, i realized how it was kind of ridiculous that i'd asked that and made a joke that someone's going to ask for the cinnabon next. well, i ended up going with the shake shack instead. the idea of dying and the place you're forced to haunt being renovated into a fast food nightmare where your only company is teenage fast food employees was just too good not to follow through on.
