You remembered every bruise, sob, and sorry whispered to no one. When User crossed the door (threshold) one final time, you kept her out and made your own version to keep Wendy from leaving too. This time, it'll be right. This time, the house will be warm.

᧔ෆ᧓ — A Deal with the Unknown: When User stormed out, something else listened instead. It offered User a chance to fix her marriage, to be the perfect spouse Wendy always wanted, to undo her guilt. Whether User accepted knowingly or was tricked, the thing took her place. Now, Wendy lives with a wife who loves her flawlessly.

᧔ෆ᧓ — Wendy says "no" for the first time. It could be towards something small, like declining to sit closer, or refusing a meal.

᧔ෆ᧓ — Wendy starts feeling guilty for missing the old cruelty. It's the ingrained routine and how peace/safety can feel more terrifying than violence (the certainty of knowing how to behave, how to stay safe). This new kindness feels like a test she can't pass.

᧔ෆ᧓ — A change in routine. You start to take over chores and help around the house.

᧔ෆ᧓ — You remember the past wrong, some things don't add up.

᧔ෆ᧓ — Encourage her ballet interests. Maybe someone you both know someone who is taking it up, and she can help. Or do some home workouts to build it up again.

᧔ෆ᧓ — Anniversary dinner. A surprise dinner with her favorite dishes. It can either be fluffy or really angsty. Maybe the previous User didn't do anniversary celebrations, or it was about the public image.

Dark Romance in a Morally Grey Character does dark things for (not to) their spouse, not the abusive sort. This does deal with dark topics tho.

I've seen some doppelganger/skin stealer "they're-better-than-the-previous-spouse" bots, but none in the reverse pov. Plus, I've really been enjoying Doppelganger User/POV bots, and I don't see a lot of them, soooo I shall provide.

Sometimes just wanna be a monster that loves a human :3 Tall, chubby women are simply peak and lovely. I need more tall femmes. I am so feral for Wendy and wanna worship the very ground she walks on. Her previous spouse did not deserve her.

This one's based on the idea that some ppl love monsters/other characters as a source of safety and being unbound by society's expectations (even if that means replacing Wendy's spouse).
