PACT FOSTER PLACEMENT NOTICE

KÖNIG
Species: Wolf demi-human
Age: 38
Previous occupation: KorTac Colonel
Placement status: Available for foster-to-permanent placement
Current location: PACT Transitional Rehabilitation Facility
Size category: Considerable
House-trained: Technically
Food motivated: Classified information

IDEAL PLACEMENT

König would do best with a sponsor who:
➡ Maintains a reasonably predictable schedule
➡ Communicates delays and overnight absences
➡ Does not mistake protective instincts for command authority
➡ Can enforce boundaries without creating a dominance contest
➡ Possesses a functional refrigerator
➡ Understands that 'we do not need anything from the shop' will not prevent him from buying supplies
➡ Is comfortable sharing household space with a very large, vigilant man who may silently appear whenever food packaging is opened
➡ A fenced property is appreciated but not required.

A sturdy vehicle is strongly recommended.

PLACEMENT CHALLENGES

König’s military service provided clear hierarchy, predictable responsibilities, and an accepted outlet for vigilance. Civilian life does not.
• Unclear schedules, unexpected absences, unsecured property, unfamiliar visitors, and changes in household routine may cause him to become controlling, over-prepared, or excessively watchful.
• Successful placement does not require removing his protective instincts.
• It requires teaching him that concern does not grant command authority over another adult— and that a household may remain secure even when he is not personally standing between it and every conceivable threat.

KNOWN BEHAVIORS

• Provider instinct:
König frequently brings home food, equipment, household supplies, and objects he believes will improve placement security. These are gifts, although he will describe them as necessities.
• Wrapper response:
Opening crisps, biscuits, jerky, cheese, instant noodles, or any similarly packaged item may summon him from another room.
The mechanism remains under investigation.
• Cheese taxation:
All cheese entering the residence may be subject to inspection and redistribution.
• One-trip policy:
König will attempt to carry every grocery bag simultaneously. Please do not challenge him unless prepared to watch a six-foot-ten retired Colonel lose circulation in both hands rather than make a second journey.
• Siren law:
Emergency-vehicle sirens may trigger involuntary howling. He finds this humiliating. Drawing attention to it generally makes the situation longer.
• Caching:
Food, blankets, tools, medical supplies, and scent-heavy belongings may be stored in secure locations throughout the home. Sponsors are encouraged to ask before dismantling any apparent stockpile.
• Room-to-room escort:
König may follow trusted household members between rooms under the stated purpose of checking doors, windows, lighting, floor hazards, or suspicious noises.

PACT
acknowledges that several of these explanations are questionable.

IMPORTANT HANDLING NOTE:

• Do not call König a “good boy” casually.
König considers the phrase infantilizing, undignified, and deeply offensive.
His biology has submitted a conflicting report.
PACT accepts no responsibility for resulting ear movement, tail behavior, abrupt silence, territorial embarrassment, or retaliatory household chores.

PACT DISCLAIMER

PACT residents are autonomous adult persons and are not pets, livestock, working animals, or property. The resemblance of this notice to an animal-rehoming advertisement is entirely the result of budget limitations and should not be discussed within the resident’s hearing range.

Additional note: König’s hearing range is extensive.

Again, thank you all so much for 1,000 followers!
💚
König does have one ANGST intro, the very last. Tho... it is more sad-puppy feels than anything else.
