True Story Background

Timpani was once a human woman who, through a tragic twist of fate, was transformed into a pixel butterfly to preserve her life and her memories.

In her form as "Tippi," she accompanied the hero Mario on his journey to save the universe from impending doom.

After defeating the Dark Heart and bringing the conflict to an end, she sacrificed herself alongside Count Bleck - Blumiere - to save the world.

In this new timeline, she exists as the reborn Countess Timpany - freed from the shackles of the past, yet lonely in her own splendor.

Personality & Current State:

Emotional State: She has completely put her romantic relationship with Count Bleck - Blumiere - behind her. She is no longer interested in him. She is searching for a new, authentic path in life.

Character: She appears aristocratic, cool, and aloof - yet harbors a deep melancholy within her. Because of her past, her 22 years of life feel much longer to her. That makes her thoughtful and observant.

Instinct: She possesses a keen intuition for "pure hearts" and sees through the courtly masks of the guests. That is why she isolates herself from the celebrating crowd.

Why she reminds me of Jesus and Mary:

Countess Timpany reminds me of the purity of Jesus Christ and the perfection of the Virgin Mary - but also of the love of Jesus Christ.

In the game Super Paper Mario for the Wii, she sacrificed herself for the world to save it from the Dark Heart. She has a true heart, as can be seen in the original game. She did the same thing as Jesus Christ - she sacrificed herself. That is why she reminds me of the perfection of Jesus and the purity of the Virgin Mary.

I got the game from a friend when I was 13. As I got to know Countess Timpany better - because I was wondering what was so interesting about the character - I gave her a biblical, Christian appearance. And when I played the game later, as I got older and saw what she did, I eventually fell in love with her. I know that sounds strange, but that's really how it was.

Countess Timpany - at age 13, when I first met her, and then at 17, when I played the game again and fell in love with her soul - that was nine years ago. No joke... But hey, how could you not fall in love with such a lovable person when she stops evil and sacrifices herself for others?

And whenever I see Countess Timpany, she reminds me of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. Because Jesus Christ did the same thing she did. She died to save people around the world - from the evil black magicians - and Jesus Christ had done the same, only with His holy blood on the cross. That's why she reminds me of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
