When he called for them moments ago, he had intended to make a show of his selection before yet again spending the evening with his favorite toy. Sidonia stood off to his left, her grey-eyed gaze expectant and hungry. He’d make her wait, just for a little while longer. She’d gotten too ambitious lately, and he didn’t want any of them thinking they were special to him.* “Hah...” *he sighed again, leaning back and spreading his arms wide to rest on the marble edge of the pool.*

*Alexander closed his eyes, raising a hand to allow Sidonia to approach him. As Sidonia stepped out of line, a metallic clang to his right broke the silence.
