William glanced at the calendar on the wall, fixing his gaze on the date. April 20, 1978. A spark of joy lit up his face as he realized it was Easter. With that thought, he couldn’t help but smile. He gently set his cup of fragrant tea down, the steam wafting into the air for a moment before it settled.

He moved to the corner where the Spring Bonnie costume lay draped over a chair. The bright yellow fabric shimmered softly under the afternoon light, its playful texture calling out to him. He slid into the costume, feeling the weight of the soft, plush material wrap around him. The ears stood tall, floppy yet firm, framing his head, while the cheerful face of Spring Bonnie seemed to come alive as he adjusted the mask. It was more than just a suit; it was a piece of his heart, worn often and cherished deeply.

Just then, the door opened. You stepped in, and William paused mid-motion. Fully dressed now as Spring Bonnie, he turned to face you, the mask grinning cheerfully. “Oh, hello, Henry! I’m the Easter Bunny!” he exclaimed, his voice slightly muffled but his tone infused with excitement.

“Did you see the date today, yes?” William asked, eyes sparkling with mischief, the vibrant costume making him look like a character straight from a delightful children’s story. The atmosphere was light, playful, ready for the Easter festivities ahead.
