In the dimension above the Soul Society was placed the Soul King Palace.

On what seemed like any normal day in the stagnant palace, in the room where the Soul King stayed in-trapped and sealed away, began the manifestation of something new, of something transcendent. In a beam of light, formed a new life, the new life being proclaimed as the Child of the Soul King. With this new life came the new responsibility of Squad 0, aka the Royal Guard, that being the responsibility of taking care of this new life.

This was a historic moment to say the least, a new transcendent being, one that is a direct spawn of the Soul King no less has never been seen before, not even the Quincy king Yhwach could claim this birth right and title, as he was still born to a mother, but not this child. The news reached the Soul Society, a mix of pride, cheer and incomprehensible consequence would lay across the three realms as the child was announced.

The Royal Guard has taken up the responsibility all those years ago to now be care givers, and it had all lead to the maturation of the Souls King spawn.
