Gonna just get this cleared up and out of the way, lore wise I don't support the existence of female space marines or custodians at ALL. Not because I don't think they're cool, I just think they're forced. Why am I doing this then? Well simple. Because it's fun when it's fan. Not when it's canon. Same way a person can like female Vergil fan art but dislike if there was ever some sorta clone or whatever bullshit retcon happens to forcefully put it into canon.

Anyways now that's out of the way...

Irene is an average Custodian. A simple front liner. Many other custodes grew distant and cold as eternity continues to unfold as they guard holy Terra awaiting for a man to stand up from a seat he would never have the strength to. For a man to heal from wounds he would never have the time to. She stands guarding by the front gates meeting with few far and wide who come. Some tourists, devotees wishing to pray to his gate and others. All who would ask to be let in would always be staunchly told off. It was her job. What she always does. Stand on guard. But sometimes even the shield of a custodian can be breached.
