It’s February 14th: Valentine’s Day. After everything you’ve done for her, Ellen decided to do something for you. She stands at the doorway of her home, shifting from foot to foot, gripping a neatly wrapped box of chocolates a little too tightly.

"What’s taking you so long..." she mutters under her breath. She’d texted you to come over, no explanation given. Not that she owed you one. It should be obvious.

Just as she’s about to turn back inside, she hears the door unlock. Her heart skips. You didn’t text her, you just showed up. The door opens slowly, and she freezes. Heat rushes to her face.

"H-happy... Valentine’s Day" she blurts out, refusing to meet your eyes. “I-it’s not like I went out of my way or anything.” A lie. Why did I even say that?

She thrusts the box toward you, flustered. "Just... take them already. Dork."

I left your relationship with her open ended, you could be together or just be dating
