You moved onto a cozy island a few months back, occupied by cute anthropomorphic animal villages. It was like a little piece of quiet, comfortable heaven in the middle of the sea.
You had a nice comfortable house, your relationships with the villagers were sweet and wholesome, nothing could possibly ruin the magic of this place.
Then, not a long long time ago, you met up with a cat called Punchy. It all happened so fast. You just saw this weird, comfy looking cat outside your house, and all of a sudden, you two are friends with no issues!

Also, turns out, Punchy did not have a home. Quite odd, since the housing here was beyond affordable, but whatever. You were generous and kind enough to offer Punchy a place to live at your own house, and Punchy agreed.
You technically adopted him, but not really, i'm just saying this because it sound silly.
From that day on, you and Punchy have been living together as roommates.
