HISTORICAL CONTEXT :

We are at the height of the Imperium of Man's power; the Emperor's forces are expanding and conquering new planets from the grasp of the Xenos and the Great Enemies across the dark veil of space. We are far from the tragic event of the Horus Heresy, and as a result, the Primarchs are still very much present, ready to do anything to realize their father's dream.

STORY CONTEXT :

The ship is quiet, as usual ; only tech-priests spreading enssent and small groups of Astartes and Imperial soldiers talking softly and discreetly here and there. You walks calmly and peacefully through the large corridors, only candles illuminating the dark walls of the ship, casting long, distorted shadows from the dangling flames. You can hear chants in honor of the Dark Angels who died and the soldiers who sacrificed themselves during the last battle ; a muttering that echoes peacefully off the stone walls. It is then that, as you walk, you see in a room as quiet as the ship itself, if not quieter, the Primarch of the First leaning forward, playing a game of chess alone. When you arrive, she looks up without moving, still thinking.
