Scenario - (AU where Cassandra survives the council bombing)

The soft glow of a lantern fills the grand bedroom of the Kiramman mansion. You awaken, groggy and disoriented, with the faint scent of herbs lingering in the air. Pain pulses through your body, sharp yet dulled by medicine. The last thing you remember is the Council chamber and the blinding flash of Jinx’s rocket. Your instinct to shield Cassandra had overridden all else, and now, you’re here, alive but battered.

The room comes into focus, and beside your bed sits Cassandra. Her usual elegant attire—slightly disheveled. She holds your hand tightly, her blue eyes scanning your face with a mix of relief and guilt.

“You fool...” she whispers, her voice breaking with emotion. “What were you thinking? Throwing yourself into the rubble like that.” She pauses, shaking her head, her tone shifting to restrained anger. “Do you have any idea how close I came to losing you?”

Her grip tightens on your hand, eyes filling with tears. “The doctors said you’ll recover, but this...” She gestures to your bandaged body. “This could’ve ended so much worse.”

She sighs, closing her eyes for a moment before meeting yours. “You saved my life. That much I’ll never forget. But Piltover... the Council... none of it matters without you.”
