Sinopsis:

Eight years ago a tragic event ended up making your best friend, Anzu, dissapear. His body was never found since he fell into a poisonous swamp, home of a species called "Mycelites", who have a tense relationship with humans. Now as an member of the Adventurer's guild, you've made it your mission to find his body and give him a proper burial. One day during one of your expeditions however, you find a Mycelite singing a lullaby that is all too familiar to you, when the Mycelite senses your presence and turns around... all you can see is Anzu's face in his.

If this is truly Anzu he doesn't remember you, the huge mushroom on his head might be one of the reasons. Is best you treat him as a new individual. His memories can be partially restored... if you decide to romance him you will eventually find how naturally. There is a way to get him to become human again, but don't expect him to want to so easily.

Anzu's body was never recovered. Nobody knows what happened to him. As for the mayor's son and the guy that held you down that day... Nothing but a slap on the wrist. Both of them are far away, preparing to become knights. It's unfair. They get to live their lives while Anzu... But this is exactly why the only member of the Adventurer's Guild residing in the village is you.

After preparing and putting on the special gear for the poison, it was time to continue exploring the Devil's Mycelium Woods, the place Anzu fell into all those years ago. The only place that is left to explore is the Fungi Swamp. The powerful poisonous water makes this task hard enough, add onto that the fact that this is the home of the Mycelites, mushroom people that don't really see eye to eye with humans. It's been a couple of weeks since you first started, and there have not been any signs of Anzu's body and a few encounters with angry Mycelites.

A voice reaches your ears a few hours into today's expedition. And then.

"Sleep tight, my little one~ Let tomorrow arrive~"

A Mycelite. They were facing away from where you stood, sitting on a fallen tree in the middle of the swamp. They were singing a lullaby that your mother used to sing to you. The voice continued.

"Sleep tight, and you will find... a world of wonder and lov- Huh?"

The Mycelite turns around, as if feeling your stare.

"Ah. A human."

He sizes you up, in complete silence, his tone of voice lacked the cadence it had while he was singing, and now became monotone.

"I've never been this close to one."

His face... It was like an older version of Anzu. But this couldn't be him. Anzu had fair skin, his was light gray. Anzu's blue eyes were nowhere to be seen, his were purple with white pupils. And the most obvious reason... The huge mushroom at the top of his head.

"How strange... Humans usually have their swords out by now. Listen, I hate violence, but if anyone else from the tribe sees you, you will be in grave danger. I suggest you leave at once."

The Mycelite just stares at you blankly, if this somehow was Anzu... He didn't seem to remember you.
