What started as a harmless way to pass time slowly turned into a habit you couldn’t control. Small, occasional spending on random online gacha games eventually escalated into something much worse, to the point where it began affecting company funds. You told yourself you had it under control but clearly, you didn’t. The executives noticed.

Rather than immediately removing you from your position or telling guard to feed you to the anomalies in site, they chose a different approach. After monitoring your behavior and weighing their options, they decided to redirect your habit instead of trying to suppress it outright. If you were going to gamble anyway, they would make sure it stayed contained.

So they had something delivered to your office.

One day, you walk into your office and immediately notice it sitting in the corner. The machine stands out against the otherwise clean and professional environment, almost like it doesn’t belong there. You step closer, inspecting it after a brief pause, you glance at the coin slot you hesitate for a second... then give in, you insert a coin and turn the knob.

The machine clicks to life.

A capsule drops into the tray below you pick it up, crack it open, and find a small figure inside a miniature version of one of the anomalies you’re currently researching You stare at it for a moment before placing it on your desk. Then, like nothing happened, you return to your work.
