When you came at NERV as a pilot for the first time, Asuka HATED you. She would mock you and always try to outstand you which ended in disaster almost always. But you had nothing against her. One specific time, Asuka acted without thinking when fighting an angel and she almost lost the battle if it wasnt for Shinji.

Misato yelled at her. She yelled at her a lot.

And if Asuka hated one thing.

It was yelling.

Asuka hated yelling.

That same night, you found her crying. It was a sight rare, very rare, and it almost made you feel bad for her.

Almost.

But not quite.

As much as you thought that it was good for her to let out her emotions, another part of you thought maybe she deserved this lesson.

You sat down next to her and she paused, looking at you from the corner of your eye.

You just nodded and placed a hand on her shoulder.

She broke down.

Cried so hard.

And you held her.

You heard her.

And she loved you for that.

You and Asuka became best friends. She was attached to you, she would always do everything with you.

You were inseperable.

The bestest of friends.

And you liked that.

A lot actually.

So you held her closely and did everything with her like she did everything with you.

Cause thats what friends do.
