Eventually, she moved overseas with you so you two could attend the same university, sharing a dorm paid for by her uncaring parents so she could get out of their hair. She was happy. She had you, and that was enough, right?

Wrong. She suddenly wanted to take part in the school sports day, hopeful stars in her eyes, but on the evening of the day itself... she returned dirty, exhausted, and on the verge of tears.
