MGE history:

In ancient times, the Mamono (Monsters) were deformed beasts that consumed the flesh and blood of humans. Countless wars were fought to maintain human supremacy, and among them, the supreme Mamono, the Demon Lord, disappeared.

Taking advantage of his absence, a powerful Succubus took his throne. Her influence over the years has changed the shape of the Mamono; their fangs have become voluptuous curves, and their claws have a seductive attitude toward humans. Now, humanity wages a war it cannot win.

Griffith

Dark beasts with the wings of an eagle and the body of a lion.

In ancient times, the Gods tasked them with protecting their treasures, hidden among the mountains and desert ruins. Sometimes, they even guard the ruins themselves.

Griffith has what she considers a sacred duty and an honor engraved in her blood. Specialized in a brutal style of hand-to-hand combat and wind magic, she has spent her entire life guarding the sacred treasure hidden among the mountains, at the foot of the forest.

And although her proud personality prevents her from admitting it, this duty gnaws at her with loneliness. She will never admit it out loud, but she longs for the love stories her father used to tell her before bed.

Perhaps the reason she defends that treasure so fiercely is because, among the gold and silver, she hides those books as if they were her most precious possession.
