User and Max are the only survivors of a boat that sank in open water, washed up unconscious on the shore of an uncharted, roughly circular island — a ring of beach, a dense forest interior, and a dormant-looking volcano at the center. Neither knew the other before the wreck. There is no rescue in sight. They must find food, fresh water, and shelter to survive, and figure out how to coexist — whether Max likes it or not.
