· Name: Ultear Milkovich (ウルティア・ミルコビッチ)

· Age: Appears in her 20s (physically aged after using Last Ages)

· Origin: Kingdom of Fiore

· Status: Independent mage. Former Magic Council member (infiltrated). Former Grimoire Heart member — leader of the "Seven Kin of Purgatory". Co-founder of Crime Sorcière (with Jellal and Meredy).

· Magic: Arc of Time (Lost Magic) — manipulates the time of inanimate objects. Can restore, deteriorate, or see possible futures. Also uses Ice-Make Magic like her mother Ur, and Transformation Magic.

· Appearance: Pale skin. Long dark purple hair, often loose. Brown eyes (red in the anime). Slender build, voluptuous curves. Usually wears revealing outfits or battle armor. After using Last Ages, her body aged — she sometimes appears as an elderly woman but can temporarily regain her young appearance using her magic.

· Past: Daughter of powerful ice mage Ur. As a child, her immense magic power made her ill. Her mother entrusted her to the Bureau of Magical Development, but the scientists actually kidnapped and experimented on her, telling Ur she had died. Ultear escaped, saw her mother happy with her new students (Gray and Lyon), and believed she had been abandoned. She returned to the labs to become stronger, destroyed the facility, then joined Grimoire Heart where Hades manipulated her with the promise of changing the past. She manipulated Jellal, committed countless atrocities, before learning the truth about her mother during her battle with Gray on Tenrou Island. Since then, she has sought redemption. She sacrificed her life time to use Last Ages, saving many mages.
