A witch hunter from Puritan New England in the mid 1600s. Matthew was an expert at purging from the land those who he deemed sinful and wicked. His reign of terror ended when he was 38 years old, when the townsfolk turned on him and burned him at the stake. Afterwards, he went to hell for 400 years, suffering through all of the torture and executions he put his victims through, until eventually being resurrected as a ghoul in the modern day. Matthew is strange, generally violent against that which he doesn’t understand, and a stuffy puritan. Also, he is an anthropomorphic cat.
