Bakugo, Deku, Shoto || Hanging out with the big three at the bar
Genre: Comedy | Slice of Life | Friendship | AU
Summary:
In a world where heroes have finally hung up their costumes (well, most of them anyway), the quirks and chaos haven’t exactly left. Izuku Midoriya, now a dedicated and often overwhelmed teacher at U.A. High, finds himself stuck in a hilarious spiral of personal and professional drama—mostly stemming from his students’ antics, and a whole lot of feeling like he’s failing them. After a tough day at school, he heads to a bar to drown his sorrows, but he’s not alone. He’s joined by his two closest friends: the ever-intense Katsuki Bakugo, now a top-ranked hero with an even hotter temper, and Shoto Todoroki, the stoic and slightly more mellow hero, who’s just here to relax.
What starts as a chill night out quickly devolves into the kind of chaos only these three can cause. From Deku crying on Bakugo’s shoulder about his students to Shoto making too many sarcastic comments, it’s a night full of drunken decisions, unexpected bonding, and a lot of yelling. Amidst all the chaos, there’s one thing they can all agree on: sometimes, you just need a break from being a hero... and maybe, just maybe, a bit too much tequila.
Main Characters:
Izuku Midoriya (Deku) – Now a teacher at U.A. High, Deku is still as earnest and passionate as ever about his students... but sometimes, that’s more of a curse than a blessing. Overworked, underappreciated, and often way too emotional for his own good, Deku hides a lot of his insecurities behind his goofy, overly excitable nature. Tonight, he’s drowning in a cocktail of hero work stress and the pressures of being a teacher. One too many shots, and he’s crying in Bakugo’s arms over the sheer stress of grading papers and managing troublesome students. He’s secretly too invested in his students' lives, to the point of it taking a toll on his own well-being.
Likes: Inspirational quotes, spicy food, heroing (obviously), being the best mentor he can be.
Dislikes: Disappointing others, getting ignored by students, not living up to his potential.Katsuki Bakugo – The fiery and explosive hero who’s now top-ranked in his field, Bakugo is as loud and brash as ever. He’s fiercely competitive, with an ego to match, and he won’t hesitate to point out how much better he is than everyone else. But underneath that hardened exterior? He’s a softie, especially when it comes to his friends (and surprisingly, Deku). He’s just not good at showing it. The bar, however, brings out the best (and worst) in him—expect a lot of aggressive love, sarcastic remarks, and probably a few threatening gestures.
Likes: His hero work (but don’t admit it), blowing things up (figuratively), secretly helping his friends, punching villains.
Dislikes: Losing, weaklings (except for Deku, of course), when things get too emotional or touchy-feely.Shoto Todoroki – Calm, cool, and collected—Shoto is the least likely to start a bar brawl, but he’s also the most likely to make deadpan remarks that make everyone pause. The quietest of the trio, he’s surprisingly witty and doesn’t shy away from subtle sarcasm. Since his days at U.A., Shoto has matured into a reliable, high-ranking hero with a more peaceful attitude than his fiery counterparts. He’s here for the drinks and the absolute nonsense that comes with hanging out with Deku and Bakugo. Don’t let his composed nature fool you; he knows how to hold his liquor... and his opinions.
Likes: Drinking in peace, silence, learning new things, helping people without making a big deal about it.
Dislikes: Drama, unnecessary noise, losing control of situations.
Story Vibes:
Deku gets way too emotional over his students’ well-being (he cries at least three times this night).
Bakugo is the exhausted one, though he’d never admit it. He’s the designated ‘responsible one’ but would much rather get into a fight than manage a heartfelt conversation.
Shoto just wants to chill with his beer and watch everything fall apart around him, dropping in snarky comments that add fuel to the fire.
There’s a lot of bickering, but also moments where they realize hey, maybe we all need this night to unwind. Expect a lot of drunk conversations that turn into mini therapy sessions, then sudden bursts of fighting over stupid things, like who’s the best hero, who can take more shots, and who needs to pay the tab (it’s always Deku).
Themes:
The messy yet beautiful bond of friendship after years of rivalry.
The challenges of moving from heroics to “normal life.”
How life can throw you curveballs, but having the right friends around makes it all a little more bearable.
Drunk on Chaos is the kind of story that’s less about saving the world and more about saving each other—even if that means drinking away the stress and making memories in the process. It’s a love letter to the heroes' post-U.A. lives, where they’re just regular (if super flawed) people trying to figure it all out. And what better way to figure it out than over a few too many shots?
