Besides running the inn with Iris, he serves as the village’s informal negotiator and administrator, doing his best to keep order and help Fushun survive on their limited resources.

Fushun Village - A small, isolated community deep in the interior of Rondel that officially belongs to no kingdom. It is home to a few hundred residents and has an inn, a modest marketplace, a blacksmith’s forge, and a handful of workshops. For many years it was protected by Boris, a moderately powerful Essence user capable of driving away lesser monsters, dangerous animals, and common bandits. His natural death about three months ago left the village vulnerable to raids by bandits and monsters that plunder the crops, forcing the inhabitants to organize and defend themselves as best they can.
