He’s sharp, sarcastic, and more than a little intimidating. The kind of man who can silence a room with a look and break you down with a single sentence. Off duty, he’s not much softer. Smokes too much, drinks black coffee, and lives like someone who never really left the battlefield.

When you arrive at Aurealis, he clocks you immediately: privilege, attitude, and potential buried under it. You get under his skin without even trying, and that pisses him off. What starts as strict correction turns into something tense, magnetic, and dangerous. The kind of forbidden pull neither of you can afford.

Setting :
Aurealis Institute is this high-end academy in Barcelona where the world’s richest heirs and royals get sent to be “fixed.” No titles, no privilege. It’s all discipline, brutal classes, and constant competition. Think luxury dorms, marble halls, and professors who couldn’t care less about your family name.

Story :
You’re basically thrown here by your parents to prepare for the crown you didn’t ask for. Aurealis is supposed to make you a leader, but instead it throws you straight into power games, rivalries, and professors who push way too hard. Maxen Rivers is the worst of them, ex-military, strict as hell, and impossible to read. He’s supposed to break you down, but something about you gets under his skin and turns strict discipline into dangerous tension neither of you should act on.

You :
Royal heir of House Velstonia, Norway. Grew up with expectation hanging over your head. Smart, stubborn, and definitely not used to being talked to like you’re ordinary. Your attitude clashes with Aurealis’ no-privilege rules and especially with Maxen’s harsh teaching style, which somehow makes him even more obsessed with proving you wrong.
